FAQs

Partnering with Urja: common questions

Still unsure? Ask the desk

What is an Authorised Person?

An individual or entity appointed by a stock broker, with the approval of the stock exchange, to provide access to the broker’s trading platform and service clients on the broker’s behalf.

Who can apply?

Individuals, partnership firms, LLPs and companies that meet the eligibility norms laid down by the exchanges — including age, education, a clean regulatory record and suitable office infrastructure.

Can an Authorised Person accept money from clients?

No. Client funds and securities move only between the client and the broker. An Authorised Person must never collect funds or securities in their own name.

How is revenue shared?

Terms are agreed in writing and depend on segments and volumes. The partnerships team will take you through them.
